this is going to sound weird but the state hospital where i did residency. the entire inpatient building was brand new (some residential facilities weren't re-done). every single patient room was a single with its own bathroom except for the one or two shared rooms for medically more frail patients

forensic state hospital. well designed layout with ability to easily remove agitated patients from milieu without seclusion, plus general zero tolerance policy for aggression with supported staff responses.

i once did a locums stint at a hospital in iowa. it had private rooms for patients. it was smalls but super nice. the place i work at now is a uhs hospital and it’s 4-5 patients in a room. 😳
